Tours for Wildlife Photographers

Many events in Africa await wildlife photographers. Tours usually combine learning about Africa’s history, observing a variety of cultures, experiencing nature and wildlife, and delighting in the view of different landscapes.
Wildlife and nature photographer Tatiana Kukanova encourages photographers to travel and experience different environments. She believes that photography is more about learning about the subject of the photograph than just randomly taking photographs. The photographer’s insight always affects the value of the picture.
Here is a list of upcoming group tours in 2020.

1.       Wildlife photography tours in Ethiopia
Photographers can expect spectacular landscapes and wildlife in Ethiopia. The Bale and Simien Mountains are known to be home to the Ethiopian Wolves, Walia Ibex, and the Gelada Baboon.
If you’re lucky, you’ll also get to take pictures of spotted hyenas, the Ethiopian klipspringer, Menelik’s bushbucks, mountain nyalas, and rare birds of prey, like the thick-billed raven, wattled ibis, and the spot-breasted plover. These are some of Africa’s rarest creatures. You’ll also get to see the giant lobelias and tussock grasses in the area.
Tours usually last from February to March. These months are ideal for wildlife photography.

2.       Wildlife photography tours in Serengeti and Ngorongoro
The highlight of this tour is the famous migration of wildebeest and zebras. This spectacle occurs annually, during January, February, and April. In addition to this, birds usually breed from March to April. Landscapes are also lush during these months.
Tours are usually made between March and April. These are the best months for photography. Plus, these months aren’t peak seasons. Fewer tourists visit the area. You’ll certainly have a quieter experience during these months.

3.       Photo-safaris in South Africa and Botswana

Expect to see at least one of the Big Five. Large populations of African Elephants inhabit these places. You’ll also get to see desert-adapted antelope species, such as the Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, and the Springbok, (Southern Oryx). Huge baobab trees are a common sight.

Tours also include a trip to a den site Mala Mala, where you’ll have the chance to see African Wild Dogs, Cape Buffalos, hippopotamuses, and white rhinos. You can expect trips to different landscapes, like the savanna, sandstone outcrops, Kalahari’s red dunes, and riverine forests

For perfect photographs, join safaris that are organized from June to July each year.
